Noel and are are spending two nights at the camp on the lake where my grandparents had their summer home. After they died, my aunt and her husband replaced the trailer with a lovely year-round home. Because they were all good Minnesota Lutherans, the couple who run the camp were good friends with Aunt Kathy (who died just three years ago) and Uncle Warren. Trip down memory lane for me as this camp was here 50 years ago when we used to come vacation with our grandparents!!!
For Pastor, those two dots on the third picture are the only two fishermen out tonight on this lake that is one mile across, three miles around!!!
I think Minnesota Lutherans are lots closer to their Luther roots of “by grace, through faith” than Virginia Lutherans. We have grown to love Scott and Lisa, who manage the camp. Not certain, but our conversations lead me to believe they are saved people and that this camp really may be a beacon for Jesus in many ways.
The main fish up here appears to be walleye. They even offer a Walleye Benedict at the restaurant where we had breakfast.
Beautiful Mary!
Looks beautiful. So relaxing! Glad you get to enjoy for two days!!
Have a great time!
