What can be said about a national park that extends into three states, has at least five ecosystems, and covers 2.2 million acres?
We barely scraped the surface today, seeing bison, beautiful Yellowstone Lake surrounded by mountains, several rivers (and fly fishermen), Old Faithful and other geysers, geothermal pools that bubble constantly and are so hot that people who ignore the warning and put their hand in them often wind up in the ER, iconic mountain views from below or at the top, forests, plains, and so much more. We even saw one nearby peak with snow, whether new or leftover from last year.
Abby and Robert got to see all this several months ago on their honeymoon; we are seeing it on our second honeymoon. Since we are far older than those two, we are exhausted tonight, but in a good way.
God outdid Himself with this one!
I started an album for Yellowstone under Snapshots just now.
