What a blessing to share some time with Dr. James Earls at his assisted living facility in Portsmouth today! At 91 years old, Dr. Earls is still praising the Lord for using him to minister to other residents and for giving him purpose in this life. A few things he said today that challenged my heart: "It pays to serve Jesus." "I'm getting closer every day to going home to be with Jesus!" "God brought me here to do a work for Him!" I pray that my purpose in life is laser-focused on living out every day the Lord gives me to serve Him just like my adopted grandfather, Dr. James Earls!
