Some of you will recall that my local Walgreens accidentally gave me an RSV vaccine instead of a pneumonia vaccine last Saturday. That led to multiple phone calls and messages on my phone while I was in church last Sunday. They had to write themselves up for the mistake. When we finally talked on Monday, I told them Sunday is our day of worship so that is why they had missed me. God used a mistake to allow me to have a follow on conversation with a very harried pharmacist.
Today, I returned for the pneumonia vaccine and also the shingles vaccine I had been putting off for a while. Another pharmacist was there but she read the notes and apologized again on behalf of the pharmacy. Talking again about how they had not been able to reach me on Sunday, I said to her that I had been at church worshipping a God of forgiveness so of course I forgave the mistake. They are very grateful about that.
God seems to be very good at getting "twofers" (two opportunities to witness out of one situation). I love that. In fact, for those of us who work out in the world, it only seems we need to tell Him we are willing to follow Him and He gives us many chances to give a brief witness about Him every day. I never have to look for opportunities these days--they just fall in my lap. Praises!
I love your write-ups!! I sent the face alone because I thought it would make it bigger, like on Facebook. NOT!! Oh well. Learning the system!!
