I sit here this morning in holy awe of the grace that has surrounded me with the people I have walked with in this lifetime. God foreknew the parents, siblings, husband, son, church(es), and coworkers (thousands of them) where I would fit and grow according to His plan. He also arranged it so my life touching theirs was part of His plan to grow them. He has given me (and us) far more grace than I deserve or ever could deserve.
And friends! Not everyone can be an intimate friend to everyone else (not enough time), but the friendships He has given me have been a taste of Heaven on earth.
God is absolutely sovereign. He does all things well. In the good times we see it; in the harder times, we remember "Ebenezer." Thus far hath the LORD brought us (and He would never abandon us now!).
Note: I have been thinking about this since last night and used part of it in a birthday note to my best friend today! Pastor encouraged us to start a gratitude journal and this just sort of came from that process.
I thank you for being a friend to me 🫂
