Don't forget that we have our SNAC this Sunday, March 19, after the Morning Service. We are being hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Donald Turner, Rebekah Turner's parents. Our plan is to meet in the gym. We will be discussing more plans for the summer activities, service projects, and several trips. Spread the word .... good food, great friends, Godly fellowship!
LET’S CHAT
For those of us who have a hobby of reading, what are your favorite genres to read? And if you like historical fiction, like I do, which time periods are your favorites?
The reason I ask is that, as we older folks downsize, it would be nice to know how to rehome our books sometimes. And it is also fun to speak about favorite books at church when we chat there. This, of course, does not replace discussing Scripture any more than sharing about hunting, hiking, or going to see Christmas lights replaces the pre-eminence of God's Word.
I will add here a plug for donations to the school library if you have books approriate for teens or younger children.
Annnnnnd, my favorite historical fiction is set during the first century/Roman Empire/Christ's first advent or during Tudor England or during World War II. I have read so much about the Holocaust that even my Facebook ads are now books from Amazon about the Holocaust.
