Charlie Helfrich is running the Boston Marathon tomorrow. Charlie's brother Isaac was Joey's best friend and roommate at Shepherds College. Charlie is older than Isaac and has a more profound autism than his brother. But Charlie is a beast of an athlete. :-). A man who trains special needs athletes has done all the training runs with Charlie and will be running with him tomorrow. Charlie has raised several thousand dollars for charity with this event. Please pray for Charlie that he will finish his course well. He has always done Special Olympics, even at the national level, but this is a huge leap forward as an athlete. Their family's testimony and friendship has meant a lot to our family.
