The OWLS enjoyed a great trip on Saturday, April 29, to visit the Chippokes Plantation State Park near Surry, VA . The 17th-19th century farm equipment was very interesting and made us realize the amazing comforts of modern agriculture. We also toured the mansion on the plantation which preserved the home earlier inhabited by the Stewart family. We ended the day with a great lunch at Anna's Pizza in downtown Surry. With a beautiful day and the sweet fellowship with one another, we look forward to other trips for the OWLS.
