Amanda Baker, we all agree, is gifted of God in many areas of knowledge and skills. She is a practical help to so many people because she moves in her giftings (does not leave them on the shelf!). Today I took her counsel and, instead of making an advance appointment to renew my driver's license, I signed in online at the Buckner DMV as soon as we got home from getting our permanent retired military IDs at Fort Story. The Buckner site gave me a number and told me to text when I arrived. I drove over and texted my arrival, then headed inside. I sat down and reached for my purse. Before I could open it, I was texted that it was my turn. Ten minutes later, my license was renewed and I was headed out the door at 10:10 AM, new military ID and driver's license both obtained in two short hours!!! And, Tess Wright, I even stopped at the Kolache Factory on the way back to pick up our lunch because you and I talked about that place before the pandemic and Noel and I still had not tried it.
