When the dentist examined the tooth before cutting the gum, he discovered a vertical crack all the way down the tooth. The infection had spread to both sides of the tooth and had eaten the bone away. Because of the crack, the problem would have continued. The best solution was to pull the tooth. The infection was cleaned out totally and she will continue antibiotics for a few days. She will see her regular dentist to discuss the possibilities of a bridge, an implant, or to maybe do nothing at all. She is resting comfortably at home. Thanks so much for all your prayers.
