Our hearts are broken for the the tragedy at the Chesapeake Walmart. Our family shops at this very store 90% of the time and would have been there last night. After church, we went to Chick-fil-A for a milkshake and then headed to do some last minute shopping. For some reason, we decided to do our shopping at the Lynnhaven Walmart and remember the announcement that the store would be closing in 45 minutes. That announcement was given at 10:15, the very time we could have been at the Walmart on Sam's Circle. Let's pray for the families and the employees affected by this horrible event. Tidewater so desperately needs Jesus!

God was protecting you Pastor.
One of our church members works there and last night Zack made a call to her son to make sure she was not there. From what we understand she had gotten off work earlier that evening.
Wow the hand of God is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Pastor. I am glued to my screen and somehow have to find the fortitude to get dressed and go work eight hours at Langley today (my second group works till 9 PM so I have flexibility when those eight hours will be). I am frozen, thinking this could have been someone in our beloved church. But, God . . .
Yes, very sad indeed. Have heard testimonies from other Christian friends who said they were headed there to shop but God led them elsewhere. God does protect us. People are hopeless and need Christ. Praise God for protecting y’all. We had been there just a few hours earlier.
