UPDATE 8-12-24. Daniel-Lorrie Peters
This is the day that the Lord has made, let us REJOICE and be glad in it! God has gifted Daniel a restful night and a full day of therapy with excellent progression.
He rested well all night and even when he woke it was only for short periods and back to restful sleep. He slept until 8 a.m. and said he felt good when he woke up. The therapist was amazed at how well he had improved from Saturday until today. We are currently on target for discharge Thursday followed by 12 weeks of weekly outpatient therapy.
We had sunshine therapy twice today and it was so good for him to be outside. There is a construction site on campus and I parked him in the shade right beside of it so he could feel “at home”. Later this evening he and Lorrie enjoyed some time outside followed by more visitors.
It’s a praise that he hasn’t had any breakthrough pain medication all day today, only his scheduled doses! A praise that his therapy went extremely well today. A praise that he had a restful night last night. A praise that the clinical staff here at Carilion are excellent every day. God has blessed in numerous ways, and it’s because you have been faithful to keep Daniel before the throne of grace. We are abundantly grateful and humbled and ask that you continue to lift him up. Only God protected his life and that same God will see him through.
Isaiah 25:1. O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.

Só good to hear all of these praises, Linda, and how special the picture is!! I love it when we all bind our hearts together in prayer and see God answer in such a special way. I don’t know where they live but it would be so special to see them at Tabernacle some time in the future!!
Missed you on Sunday and Pastir said you were resting after a recent procedure. Praying for you as well that you will get your strength back and that all is well. So much sickness going on but our Lord takes such good care of us. Basking in the praises!! 💕💕😁
