Once again, the doctors have changed their diagnosis for my sister and her baby. The doctors said that her gallbladder is full of stones that aren’t allowing bile to move correctly through her body. It’s entered her bloodstream and this could be life threatening for her baby. The doctor told her last night over the phone that there’s a possibility she could deliver a stillborn. Right now, he’s kicking and moving and she has an appointment scheduled for tomorrow to assess the situation. They are still debating on whether or not it would be best for him to be delivered early. Please pray that God will give the doctors and increase of wisdom and give Jaelyn and increase of peace.
LET’S CHAT
For those of us who have a hobby of reading, what are your favorite genres to read? And if you like historical fiction, like I do, which time periods are your favorites?
The reason I ask is that, as we older folks downsize, it would be nice to know how to rehome our books sometimes. And it is also fun to speak about favorite books at church when we chat there. This, of course, does not replace discussing Scripture any more than sharing about hunting, hiking, or going to see Christmas lights replaces the pre-eminence of God's Word.
I will add here a plug for donations to the school library if you have books approriate for teens or younger children.
Annnnnnd, my favorite historical fiction is set during the first century/Roman Empire/Christ's first advent or during Tudor England or during World War II. I have read so much about the Holocaust that even my Facebook ads are now books from Amazon about the Holocaust.
