Nathanael, I do not know the nature of your longterm unspoken but I do know mine. Our Joey’s autism is probably not going to be healed in this world. And honestly, it just makes him quirky and kind of lovable. Almost like it’s his personality by now. He may still have much of that in eternity. :-)

But his OCD is devastating. It often makes him so fragile that he can make bad decisions. My fondest prayer is that he will master it rather than it mastering him occasionally. He has made tremendous strides, especially since the pandemic, which I thought might wipe him out emotionally. He and God work together on that. And we pray.

Just thought I might be an encouragement by being transparent about our situation. I know God could heal Joey in this world; He might not choose to do that. But there can still be immense progress when we walk by faith, holding Jesus’ hand tight in the darkness.

I will disclose to Joey that I have shared this with you all because he is an adult and has the right to know. :-)
