After 3 weeks of not being able to go into the Juvenile Detention Center, we were able to go today. We were all very excited to finally get back into the Detention Center and preach/ teach Jesus to these kids! There were 4 girls in the pod today- I taught from Mark 4:35-41. Aubrey always comes with me but today we brought my other friend, Emalee, along- it was her first time and she was very nervous. The Lord did a great work in the Juvenile Center today. After I taught, Aubrey gave the altar call where two girls raised their heads telling us they wanted to be saved. I went over to one table where two girls sat. One girl, Lexi, had lifted her head but the other girl, Michaela, hadn’t. I asked her if she would like to be saved and she said she did because she thought she was saved but believes she isn’t. I went through the Gospel with them making sure I explained it all and asked them questions to make sure they understood what I was telling them. At the end they both accepted Christ as their Savior! They were both excited to start reading their Bibles. I am so thankful to the Lord for what He is doing! He knew we wouldn’t be able to go to the Juvenile Center for some time but during that time we were all able to grow our love for this ministry because we realized how much we all missed going to speak to these kids. I may not ever see Lexi or Michaela again because that is how the system here works; they are brought in then moved from home to home or moved straight to prison in Anderson County (which I now attend on Tuesday) or Knox County. If I never see them again though, we will meet again in Heaven! Please pray for these two young ladies, that they would be changed and transformed. Pray for the prison ministry, that it will grow and more students will be willing to join.
