LYDIA UPDATE:
She is still an inpatient (since July 19th). Her team discussed her being discharged on Monday, but have now decided against it.
1. She continues to have frequent pain and it is proving difficult for palliative care to find “the sweet spot” to manage it.
2. She is still having frequent seizures, and like the pain, they are challenging to control them.
3. Her surgery wounds are healing slowly and her stitches were removed a couple of days ago. She still has black, necrotic tissue on top of her head.
4. We are having trouble getting some services set up for her here because we don’t have a permanent Ohio residence, which prevents us from getting her on Ohio Medicaid.
5. We are trying to move, but our landlord won’t let us out of our lease unless he finds another renter. Trying to find someone who can accept a 10-month lease is next to impossible, so we are in a stalemate at the moment. He is military and plans on moving his family back into the house in August when they return to the United States .
6. We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to Lydia’s GoFundme. We have raised close to $2,500 so far and we are are beyond grateful. We have placed all the funds in her savings account until we can actually make the move to Cincinnati.
7. My employer - Operation Blessing - has approved me to work remotely in Cincinnati, so my job is safe. Aaron continues to lead the ministry of Truth Baptist Church Suffolk in my absence.
8. Lydia’s 11th birthday is on Sunday. We are thankful to God for another year with our sweetie baby.
God bless you all for your continued prayer and support!
