Pastor reminded us Wednesday to pray for Christians around the world we have not personally met. Linda Rapp is a mother somewhere in the U.S. whose daughter Eden currently attends Shepherds College. Linda started a Zoom prayer group Tuesday nights for mothers of current students and graduates. She started it about a year ago but I have yet to join in. I keep up with these ladies via an email chain.

Wednesday and Thursday there was an ice storm in Wisconsin and the power went out for many for up to 20 hours. Linda pushed out an emergency prayer request because much of the food in the college refrigerators and freezers got spoiled! The college is recovering from all that (prayer request #1).

I reached out to Linda because Joey's power was out, too. However, they lost very little food. His roommate's mother checked when the power came back on.

Linda asked about praying for Joey so I told her about him starting Piggly Wiggly next Monday (prayer request #2).

Linda later sent an email to all of us saying she got a biopsy back yesterday and is facing breast cancer for the third time. They called Eden at Shepherds and Eden took it very hard. So prayer request #3 is very important. For Linda as she navigates this again and for her young special needs daughter, away at school and struggling with her mom's diagnosis.
