My childhood friend Ann and her husband Steve rushed to Ann Arbor, Michigan today to check compatibility of a liver and kidney that were available for Steve, who has fought liver and kidney disease for around 15 years. He matched and is in surgery now!!!
Please don't forget to pray for the bereaved family who are donating these to Steve!
Praise the Lord! Will be praying.
One month post-op, Steve has now lost a total of 100 pounds and his diabetes is under control. My friend Ann has gone back to work. They are praising God. I praise God for you, our praying friends.
Praise the Lord! We need to continue praying for his complete recovery!
Steve was released today. They should be home by now (Ann said the roads were not snowy today). One week after a double transplant. PTL!
Steve is doing so incredibly well that the doctors in Ann Arbor feel ready to send him home to Grand Rapids (across state) tomorrow or Saturday, just one week after a liver and kidney double transplant. That is one of the earliest discharges they have done. He will be monitored several times a week by doctors in Grand Rapids. Thank you for your prayers. Ann thanks you, too (and Steve).
When Ann arrived this AM, Steve was sitting up in a chair, clear headed and in very little pain. This is after a double transplant that kept him under for probably 12 hours in the past two days. Because of Tab Connect, we may be the only church aside from their own where we are *all praying for them. Thanks for doing this for a stranger whom you will meet in eternity!
Steve just came out of surgery and went to the ICU, with everything looking good. Now I hope Ann can get some sleep! Thanks for the prayers, everyone.
Praying, Mary. 😔🙏
Continued prayers
Update: Steve was in surgery for the liver until 2:30 AM. Looks like a good transplant. They brought him back in this morning for the kidney transplant and he is under now. It has been five years awaiting this news.
