"Met with Dr Mellinger for 3 month checkup, HUGS all around, so much excitement to see how well Steve is doing 3 months out with new kidney and new liver! Dr’s and nursing staff REALLY happy at how well things are going. We will be able to cut down our visits, cut down the labs. Steve had an A1C of 6.4 (which he has never had his diabetes in such good control). We are so grateful to his donor who was in good health before his sudden passing and shared new life with Steve. We thank our Heavenly Father, who has walked beside us EVERY step and will continue to do so. All praise to our risen Lord, we are beyond blessed."

I asked for permission to share this update. Fewer visits will be very helpful as Ann Arbor is at least three hours from Grand Rapids, and they have headed there in a snowfall several times this winter.
