I bought David Horowitz's book because he said he used to be far left and became a conservative who is now vilified as far right.
There was a lot interesting in this book. I agreed with some of it and disagreed with some of it (political candidates stuff we can agree to disagree on at Tab).
What was most interesting was that he traced the roots of our America-hating fellow citizens, saying their movement began with a textbook of alternate history that was published around 1980 (I had already graduated high school by then and had never heard of this book, but I can see by the description of it that it could have led the following generations astray).
Some of the history was helpful but I have lived most of it and remember it pretty well.
The main thing I have noticed about conservative writers is that their writing can seem like a series of events all pasted together without much analysis rolled into it, kind of like one long Wikipedia article. I hope if any of us becomes an apologist for conservative causes that we do it with more concise writing (with all of our heart as unto the Lord). Be blessed!
