Spider-woman 😉 We had one in our front window and the boys loved it. We would watch her make her remake web everyday, we watched her molt, they would feed her, we even got to witness the mating dance with the male and then she ate him😳It was great opportunity to talk about God's beauty in nature and learn about spiders.
I love those! They stay in one web the entire season (if the wind does not get it), lay their eggs, then die in about late October. If you are fortunate, one of the babies makes a web in about the same spot the next year. Very entertaining. We had one outside our breakfast nook one entire summer. We called her Charlotte. She once ate a huge bug while we were having breakfast. Ugh!
