Having just commemorated the 80th anniversary of D-Day and thanked God for all His provision during the Second World War, I share this video of a man who led his country and the Allies for almost the entire war, even when it seemed he stood alone.
Watched this again today as it is the 85th anniversary of the start of World War II.
Powerful and the music - wow!
Churchill was the last of only three Prime Ministers to ever lie in state in Westminster (normally for royalty).
I have always loved and admired Churchill, the way I did Reagan and Thatcher. Heroic figures, IMHO.
But when I read a book on Churchill’s wife Clementine a few years ago and realized she attended my church in London after her husband’s death, that overjoyed me! She was there about ten years before I was but no one ever name dropped there so I never knew that till much later.
