Diltz Payne Graduated to Glory

Brother Diltz Payne went home to be with our Lord yesterday, May 11th, a little after 9:00pm. Diltz and his wife had been attending Tabernacle for several months since they moved back to Virginia. He was a Tabernacle Baptist College graduate who pastored many years in Florida. I have the honor of conducting his funeral on Monday, May 18th, at Graham Funeral Home in Chesapeake, VA. The visitation for friends and family will begin at 10am, continue with the funeral service at 11am, and then conclude with a luncheon at noon. Be in prayer for the family as they prepare for a wonderful celebration of Brother Payne’s life.

Pastor Baker Home and Doing Well

Pastor’s pacemaker procedure went well and his heart rate is staying at a preset stable level. The A-Fib is gone and he is back in a normal sinus rhythm. After spending the night in the hospital for observation, he arrived home today about 1:30pm. Thanks so much for the texts, prayers, cards, and well wishes. You are and continue to be a loving congregation. Lord willing, Marci and Pastor will be with us this coming Sunday.

Update on Dad

Dad’s pacemaker procedure went all according to plan this afternoon. Mom and Abby have seen him, and he is well. He will be in the hospital for the night for observation. Pray he rests well and will feel up to being with you all at church on Sunday. Thanks for praying for all of us. We really appreciate it!

When You Visit Kirk . . .

The Cypress Point Rehab has a small, cramped parking lot. When you turn onto Daniel Smith from Newtown, if you see the parking lot is full, you should go down the street, turn around, and park on the same side of the street as the rehab. The other side is restricted.

It is a quiet, residential street of older brick ranchers. Your car will be fine.

I asked at the desk to make sure I got this right for y’all. :-)
