Progress!

Friday Update, 12/26

We had a quiet yet unique Christmas Day together as a family. Dad has made good progress the past two days. Two of three chest tubes were removed this morning, and they have just moved him to a step down unit. With all this activity, Dad is very tired. If you could just continue sharing your prayers and well wishes virtually, that would help him to get some much needed rest and to be encouraged later when he is able to see all your comments. For now, we are going to ask you to wait to visit until he gets stronger. We really appreciate your helping us in this way. Last night, I was able to read the Christmas story for Dad and Mom, and we were reminded of the greatest gift of our Savior’s incarnation that makes all that we live for possible. We are so…

More details to follow…

Dear church family, on Wednesday Dec 24, 2025, Brother Will Scott went home to be with the Lord. He passed peacefully in his home, while resting in bed with cold symptoms. Please continue in prayer for Brenda, Zack, and Dorothy. More details to follow concerning funeral arrangements. I am blessed to know Brother Will is now singing with joy in the presence of his dear Savior. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭116‬:‭15

Merry Christmas from Pastor and Marci

Wednesday Update, 12/24

Today has been a fairly uneventful day for Dad. There isn’t much to report other than that he is resting well and adjusting to the changes as his heart and body adapt to these conditions. Although it’s not the usual way they like to spend Christmas Eve, Mom and Dad are working through this together one day at a time. I will plan to update again on Friday unless something major changes tomorrow. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your families.

Slow Improvement

Tuesday Evening, 12/23

We were able to be with Dad most of the day today. The healing process is a slow, uphill climb, but we are grateful to be on the other side of the surgery. If we could ask your help us with something, please wait for a while to text Dad’s phone. He doesn’t have it, and it’s a bit overwhelming for my mom to try to answer all the messages. When he is ready to start communicating via text etc, I will be sure to let you know. Feel free to continue leaving your well wishes here on these posts. When he is feeling up to it, we will be sure to share the messages with him. The picture here is the drawing of the blockages that they addressed in the surgery. Dad’s comment to me on Monday morning while looking at it with me was that…
