On Sunday, July 26, our dear brother Fred Ward graduated to glory after a lengthy hospital stay. His daughter, Vanda, called me today and said he had passed peacefully. He had told her earlier on Sunday, “Today is going to be the best day of my life!” And seeing Jesus would be the most wonderful thing that could happen to any of us. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming.

Today (7/22) a video was shared on both TAB Connect and TBA Connect concerning missing the students in the Academy denoting only 34 days until school starts. The idea was a kind gesture, but the medium chosen to express this sentiment was poorly chosen. As soon as I viewed it for the first time, I immediately asked to have it removed from both sights. Regrettably, at least 20 or more people saw it. I, Pastor Baker, take full responsibility for not approving the posting of this video. Another staff member had seen this done at another school and thought it would work. If I would have previewed it, I would have not let it be posted for two reasons. 1) The music, although written in 1975, still emulates the pop sound of both now and back then with actual lyrics to the song making a reference to sexual activity. …
