Roger Williams and Providence, Rhode Island
The visitors’ center was not open due to the government shutdown but we were able to walk around the park at the Roger Williams National Memorial in Providence today, then drive up a very steep road to Prospect Park where he is buried, his statue looking out over Rhode Island’s capital city!
The birthplace of American Baptists and American religious freedom both!!!
