Acadia National Park (More Fun in the Rain)
Today, once again, we had to brave some pelting New England rain to see the sights but we went to Acadia National Park as scheduled. They had about three essential employees there, two in the gift shop (so I got my National Park stamp!!!) and one at the booth on the bottom of Cadillac Mountain where you have to show a reservation to drive up the mountain. That was a huge blessing as the website had said no cars were allowed up the mountain during the furlough of National Park employees! We got our trip to the top after all! It was so foggy that it was slow going and we could see nothing from the top at all, but the gift shop guys told us that is typical in the fall, even when it is not raining.
So the pics are from a point lower down in the park and . . . From the restaurant last night where Noel and I had our first lobster rolls!
We are praying for the furloughed employees and for Barbaraās memorial service! Love you guys!
