End to a Whirlwind Week!
Yesterday I was fretting about our trip up here to New England today because it looked like we would be on the part of I-95 that cuts through Manhattan and I have never driven in New York City before. God did a demonstration of His power before we left home to leave me not one inch of room to doubt Him. I came home from work yesterday with a tire that began to collapse as I got off I-64 a mile from our home and flattened completely once I was in our driveway. There were two huge gashes in it, all the way down to the steel belt.
Can you imagine that that happened somewhere in the construction zone between our home and Langley AFB and I made it safely home? Most of that route is enclosed by Jersey walls with no shoulder. God was so good to me. And, P.S., Siri took us around NYC today via New Jersey, then we cut through a shorter bit of New York to Connecticut, where we are tonight. Pics of a sweet New Haven pizza place enclosed. And a pic of the tire yesterday.

As an addendum, people drive fast up here and sometimes follow too closely, but there is a pattern to their driving that makes sense. Where we are, 50 states combine their worst habits into total confusion.
Also, I may be premature but I do not sense the anger in other drivers up here that we have in Hampton Roads. One unglued guy got our attention yesterday because he was so unusual. He tried to pass me on the right by using an off-ramp, could not do it, and continued to speed by me on the narrow shoulder doing at least 70mph. He did that to the next person he passed, too. Noel thought he drove like he was on drugs.
