He is so Good!
Seems like I recall somewhere hearing teaching that there is a word in Greek or Hebrew that we do not have in English. It would express Godās over abundance of goodness to us. I think of that concept often. How many times could someone who was criminally neglectful of safe driving on the roads have hit us . . . And did not? How many times has our snap judgment failed on the roads and . . . God kept us from hitting someone else? How many times have we commuted to work and back in a torrential downpour and . . . Made it safely?
I am sure we have no idea how many times God, Who never sleeps, has rescued us from harm.
I am soberly reminded of that right now during todayās torrential rain as, an hour after I arrived home, our phones went off telling people in our part of Hampton Roads to stay off the roads completely from 2:45-4:45, now extended to 6:45.
Noel and I have not seen so much flooding in our yard ever. Thankfully, we have half an acre and it is well away from the house. And we are on a crawl space.
I felt Godās hand with me driving to work and back today. I also remembered how He promises in a few places to bless not just His people but those who are around His people. I saw no crashes, thank God! And I am praying for our entire community now.

Is everybody safely home tonight? Are all homes safe from flooding?
