Grandpa Roger Update

Grandpa is now on his third week in the hospital. He moved to the cardiac step-down unit last week and is making great progress. He has been up and walking more!

He is still needing dialysis, but praise God, weโ€™ve seen some improvement. Heโ€™s received several units of blood, and today his hemoglobin was much better. We are praying it remains stable and that his kidneys continue to recover.

The nephrologist shared that it may take several weeks to a couple of months to know whether dialysis will be temporary or permanent.

Our family appreciates all of the prayers. Grandma still good use prayer as well as she has her own health issues in the midst of this.

Evelyn Lane Update

My grandma is doing okay, but her body is slowly shutting down. Sheโ€™s not in any pain at all, which is a miracle in itself, considering all that sheโ€™s going through right now. All glory to God for that! Prayers have been answered for that for sure! She is resting and talking to God a lot. She said she knows its almost time to be home with God and the rest of our family. โค๏ธ She is such a beacon of light, we are all just trying to soak up as much time as we can with her right now. She wanted to tell you all thank you so much for all the prayers. God is listening. Thank you all for the continued prayers! It really means so much to us!

It's wonderful she's not experiencing pain and knows she's about to see her Saviour. Praying that transition is peaceful and glorious ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Karla Bauer

Some of you have been praying for my college friend Karla this year. She was such a mature Christian at 18 she became somewhat of a mentor. She won her friend Mark to the Lord as a freshman; by the time we graduated, he was very mature in the faith and proposed to her. They have seven adult children.

As a nurse, Karla was always healthy until last yearโ€™s rectal cancer. After months of punishing chemo, the Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where she lives, is today going to remove what is left of the tumor and some lymph nodes that carry cancer. She will need to be lying down for the next week, then there will be weeks of recovery from a necessary surgery to save her life. We know all about that at Tab!

Please pray for Karla, Mark, their kids and grandkids today!

Update: Karlaโ€™s daughter writes that her surgery went well with no complications.

The doctors found that my grandmaโ€™s kidneys are failing now too. Her blood pressure is fluctuating, but has been very low most of the night. All other vitals look good right now. They are just pumping fluids and nutrients in her now and will reevaluate everything a little later today. Sheโ€™s still in no pain at all, sheโ€™s sleeping right now. I love you all!
