7-5-26 Susan update
Susan had a good night. Cough persists but more rest with tighter medication timeline. She has been alert since about 6 this morning, had some kefir and just now back in bed for a nap after about 45 minutes in the chair.
Getting in and out of bed and to the bedside commode fairly easily. Strength building daily. Walked two laps around the hall yesterday at a good pace. Spent time sitting up in a chair.
Appetite remains a concern. She has thrush and that makes it difficult to eat. Please pray for her appetite to return and her cough to GO AWAY!!
Her BP is trending up some now, and they are keeping an eye on it as well as her fluid weight and electrolyte balance. They anticipate transitioning her to blood thinners by mouth in the next day or so and then to the Sticht center for rehab Monday or Tuesday. Please pray to that end. She is beyond ready to be home.
