Prayer Request (s)

First, an update. If you did not see, Ashleigh Mohr went home to Jesus last night. So we shift to a different sort of prayer, for family comfort.

Secondly, tornadoes and wild thunderstorms here in the Eastern U.S. devastated many communities these past two nights. We have friends in Chesapeake, up Kempsville Road from church, thankful that a neighbor’s tree just barely scraped their house as it fell. We have friends in N. Virginia with trees blocking their neighborhood from the outside world, no electricity, and no cell phone service.

St. Louis got badly hit as did Wisconsin and Michigan (Lansing and Saginaw). In fact, there was a tornado on the ground in Caledonia, MI, where my sister lived when she was first married.

Reading some apologetics books recommended by Amanda Baker, I am realizing most people don’t reject God for any logical reasons, they simply don’t think about Him at all. Events like these can open people’s hearts to hear the truth of the gospel. I pray that, even in tragic loss, people will come to Him.

Praying for Ashleigh's family and her young son Theo..This is probably very hard for him to understand, but I am sure he knows his Mama is with Jesusā¤
