⚠️ EMERGENCY NOTICE — CITY OF DOVER ⚠️
The City of Dover has received reports that a possible tornado has moved through the City of Dover, resulting in potentially hazardous conditions, downed trees, debris, and possible damage throughout the area.
A STATE OF EMERGENCY IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR THE CITY OF DOVER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Effective immediately, City roads are OPEN TO EMERGENCY PERSONNEL ONLY until further notice. We are asking all residents to remain off the roads and stay in a safe location.
Keeping our roadways clear is critical so Dover Police, Fire, EMS, Public Works, and other emergency personnel can safely assess damage, respond to emergencies, clear debris, and address hazardous conditions.
Please do not travel to affected areas to view damage. Downed power lines, fallen trees, flooding, debris, and other hazards may be present. If you encounter a downed power line, stay away and report it to the appropriate authorities.
City officials and emergency personnel are actively assessing conditions throughout Dover. Additional information regarding damage, road closures, power outages, and when travel restrictions may be lifted will be provided as soon as it is available on our City Facebook pages as our phone lines and internet are currently out.
