Emily was my niece's housemate for the last seven years. They worked together in Christian book publishing at two different places, the first being Our Daily Bread.
My niece Miranda is 40 and has owned her own house since she was quite young. She found Emily dead and is very traumatized. They were the best of friends.
There is no known cause of this death at 31. Emily nearly died of COVID a couple of years ago so it is possible the long COVID claimed her, as we have seen with several loved ones associated with Tab. She is with Jesus now.

Emily’s funeral is Saturday. My brother will stay at the house while my sister-in-law attends the service with Miranda.
