6-27 update on Susan
Susan had another rough night. The cough medicine worked until about 10 pm, but it must have had some affect on her. She started pulling at leads and IVs, not combative, just totally restless. She managed to pull one IV out, thankfully the old one, we taped over the other one and I basically held her hand most of the night. She wanted to get up clean the house do laundry..all the things. She continued to cough and I asked for a different medicine around 1:00. It seemed to help a little but the cough has been a battle!!
But this morning…she asked me what day it was and how long ago she had surgery. She is very tired but clear. We got her cleaned up. She just had a little kefir papa brought. Her cough so far isn’t constant but it is persistent and her mouth is VERY SORE. Please pray for the blisters to dissipate so she can eat and not need supplemental nutrition. Here’s to another new day and opportunity for healing and progress! Love to all.💕
