Jr Week 1 Done
It was recorded that this week 9 souls were saved, 12 reassurances of salvation, and 11 decisions of dedicating lives to God were made. It was a great week filled with wonderful preaching and singing! There were 5 girls in my group. There was a main counselor (Anna, who is my prayer partner) who I helped after I got out of kitchen each day- I also helped teach the nightly devotionals. One of the girls asked if she could speak with me privately and she expressed to me her frustration with the dress code and asked me why we have to dress that way and thankfully the Lord gave me the words to say to her to help her understand the importance of modesty and the christian life, she walked away with a better understanding and a willing attitude to obey the dress code. I also had another girl who asked me how can she tells others about Jesus. Last night we had a testimony bonfire where campers could give a testimony about something they learned or if they got saved and needless to say Anna and I spent the entire time at the bonfire crying on each others shoulders (happy tears of course). So many children saved and so many children who made decisions for the Lord- it was an encouragement to see. It has been a great (but exhausting) week and we are so excited for week 2! Would you please pray for these new campers as they come in on Monday afternoon. Please pray also for our ministry team to have safe travels- we will be going to a church in Hampton tomorrow morning and a different church in Hampton during the evening!
