Interestingly, we discussed knowledge of the Biblical languages in Sunday school last week and, as a woman (just coincidentally a Mary) who took all three years of Greek offered in the seminary, I agreed with both you and Pastor Baker that the original languages are amazing tools to show us more completely God’s eternal words to us. We all are commanded to study God’s Word, with or without training in Greek and Hebrew, so I rejoice in a Pastor/church that tells us regularly that “one hour of preaching on Sunday morning is never enough.”

I study with the Blue Letter Bible, an online tool that lets me toggle to the Greek Intralinear, even during a service occasionally. It is a good tool even for those who have not taken a Greek class because it explains the underlying grammar (and will even pronounce a word for you, if you like).
