Great Pic of Bryce Canyon NP, by Noel

Two more quick Utah National Park reviews: Bryce Canyon, pictured, has the world's largest collection of "hoodoos" (translation of Native American word Oo-doo, which they believed were wicked people turned into pillars). There are literally thousands of them, viewable from cliffs up above the canyon.

Zion today (yes, we went from Moab to Zion, which is pretty Biblically correct!!!) is so full of people for the holiday weekend that we could not find a parking spot at the visitor's center at 8 AM, and you must park there to take a shuttle on the Scenic View Route. So instead, we drove from the West Gate almost all the way to the East Gate, via a spectacular mile long tunnel in the heights. Along the way, we met a German couple who took our picture. The wife could speak some English and told us they were born in East Germany, under the Russians (even her husband understood that and looked disgusted) and that her childhood dream had been to come see the Grand Canyon, where they are headed. I was trying so hard to remember some German to use with her that I did not think to give her a tract or even to launch into any gospel witness at all. But please pray for them. They were so kind. She approached us to offer to take the pic when she saw us looking around. And for someone who spoke very little of our language, that was an incredibly bold and loving thing to do
