Update on Pastor Following His Heart Cath
We wanted to give you an update on Dad’s procedure as promised. Although the heart cath was scheduled for 9:30AM, he had to wait a while for an emergency that came in. He just came back to the recovery room and the doctor came to explain to Mom what he found. They did not place any stents at this time because they found three major arteries that are blocked. The decision of the doctors at Sentara Leigh and his cardiologist is to send him to the heart hospital at Norfolk General very soon. The surgeons there will assess the situation and make a decision about next steps. Although this isn’t the outcome we planned for, we are trusting the Lord for these next steps. Please understand if Mom doesn’t respond to personal messages. She is doing her best to support Dad. We will update you all as we have news from the doctors. Again we are so thankful for your support and prayers. As Dad always says, these things never take our Lord by surprise, and we choose to trust Him. Thank you especially to our church family in Va Beach for your love and concern for your pastor and his wife. You are truly a blessing to our family.
