Update on Dad Friday Afternoon, 12/19/25

We are thankful that Dad’s transfer to Norfolk General went well. We had a very informative meeting with Dad’s surgeon today. The decision that is best for Dad is for him to have an open heart bypass surgery on Monday. We don’t know the exact time as schedules are flexible with emergencies and such over the weekend. The recovery will be a long road, but Dad is optimistic that this is God’s plan. He had prayer with Dr. Unger and other doctors on his team today at the end of the meeting. Although this will take some time for us to get our arms around it all, we are confident in this plan and in the Lord’s direction. Please pray for Mom and Abby as they are both fighting colds. Pray for Amy as she will make her way to Va Beach. And pray for me as I make plans to return to be with my family as soon as possible. I’m working with my travel agent to get an emergency plane ticket sorted even tonight. If you have questions, please contact Pastor Alex and we will try to keep you posted through him until I can get Stateside. Visitors are welcome until Sunday evening. Thank you once again for your kind support of our family.
