We have been waiting to give an update hoping that we would have more to share with you about the progress in Dad’s situation, but we really don’t have much to share at this point. We are doing our best to wait patiently for the transfer to the heart hospital where the team of cardiologists and surgeons will lay out the plan ahead. We are grateful that Dad got good rest last night and continues to use this time to speak to the staff at Sentara Leigh about the Lord as they come to care for him. We so appreciate the scores of you who are lifting us up to the Lord as we wait for these next steps. With the distance so great between us, it is my privilege to communicate with you all and keep you informed through this journey. Without a plan in place for the foreseeable future, we would kindly request that visits wait until we know more. We want to protect Dad and Mom in this cold and flu season so he is as well as possible for whatever lies ahead. We will be sure to let you know when we can receive folks for short visits in the days ahead. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I am happy to communicate with you if you have questions and continue to pass along all those greetings to the family. Thank you for helping to bear this burden with us. We praise the Lord for His sustaining grace often displayed in the way you are caring for us even from afar. We believe that the timing and even the waiting is part of God’s plan for us and will continue to allow our Savior to build our faith as we wait.
