Thankfully, God Gave This a Good Ending
When I got home from work today and was doing my nightly walk with Noel, he told me that his morning walk had been quite eventful.
The older neighborhood where we walk does not have sidewalks so we navigate very carefully next to the curb.
As he turned a corner today, he saw a woman driving toward him, doing the speed limit, which was a good thing.
He watched several seconds as she was lighting a cigarette. All the views were unobstructed.
Suddenly she started to swerve as though she were going to jump the curb. Her mirror struck Noel but, remarkably, bent back as though on a spring. He remained standing and unhurt.
The woman stopped and she was the frantic one as Noel reassured her he was okay but that it could have been worse and she must pay attention when she drives.
He told her to “Learn from this experience, as a moment’s inattentiveness can change your life.”
I am so thankful God protected my wonderful man. Life is fragile, yet we are held in His hand, in life and in death.
Glad he was not hurt.
