Dr Bart just stopped by….vascular specialist agreed with Eliquis, and she will also be on 81mg aspirin. Once her BP regulates she will be managed by her cardiologist and/or family doctor for any BP meds. In the interim they are ok with her systolic pressure going as high as 200 because of her recent stroke.
Next stop Sticht Center. They are trying their best to make that happen tomorrow. Please pray it will open and we will be allowed to stay overnight.
She did so well with therapy today, the therapist said her stay in rehab should be short!! What a difference hundreds of prayers and a few days make! Pray for uneventful transition to Eliquis, increased appetite, and steady progress.
Today she walked
3 1/2 laps and did some stairs, taken off of all IV meds, and was able to stand at the sink and brush her teeth and her hair. She has been in the chair a good portion of the day as well. Progress - thankful - hopeful for a quick stay in rehab.
