Teen Week 2 Done… Camp Done
The last week of camp was probably the best. Most of the teens that came already knew the Lord and were saved but they weren’t exactly living their lives the way they ought to but I saw the Lord work greatly. Pastor Jim Schettler was the speaker and he had great messages pertaining to the way a christian should live their life and why they should live their life serving the Lord. During the invitations handfuls of kids didn’t hesitate to get up to pray or speak to a counselor. During Thursday night I went outside to help counsel a girl- she was a public school goer who said she wanted help putting God first in her life and not worrying about what her friends would say. I’m so thankful for all the friends i’ve made and memories that I will definetly not forget like staying up late Sunday in the motel to sing hymns while some would play their guitars and my friend on the piano- our traditional movie nights- etc, etc. I am so thankful that God has given me this opportunity because even though camp is meant for the campers- is still impacts the staff just as much. God is LIVING, His Word is LIVING, and He is still at work. Thank you for all of your prayers.
Annnnnd I loved what you said Sunday night. Not sure whether you heard Pastor’s sermon the previous week on Romans 12:1,2 but God lovingly wants it all because He does better leading us than we do ourselves! So glad you have stepped out as an example of that principle in action.
