As Pastor said last night, it is too hard to pronounce Prokopiewicz, but this man, now in hospice care, was my boss during our time in Stuttgart, Germany.
I am touched his son, following in his career path, contacted me through official channels yesterday to ask for prayer for his dad.
I remember them as being staunch Catholics 30 years ago. I asked whether his dad is clinging to Christ as his Saviour. I hope and pray that may lead to fruitful discussions in that hospice environment.
Here, for our mutual encouragement, is a post on a church in Stuttgart which started about 11 years after we left. Its pastor is the grandson of the commandant of Auschwitz. Just in case we ever assume God cannot save to the uttermost:
