Susan update 6-22
Susan is responding better again this morning, a little more alert. I want to start with that.
We have some new developments overnight. Yesterday afternoon/ evening she went all the back to barely responding. Requested further work up again, and another CT was done. Results show Sometime within the last couple of days, she had a stroke. She had a preliminary neurology consult and Further scans were ordered with contrast. We are still waiting to know the full extent of the damage to her brain. We are hopeful that her motor skills will remain intact. As of right now, it appears vision, speech, and memory will be most affected. The further scans will tell us more and help us make decisions on the best way to help her going forward. Please pray for definitive answers and wisdom for the doctors and her family as these new waters are navigated.
We serve a God who can, and He has the final say. We will continue to trust His heart although His hand is difficult to see and understand.
Visitors are still limited because over stimulation tends to set her back. VW is beyond grateful for everyone’s love and support and he knows that y’all are here in spirit and praying continually.
