A Great Commission Kind of Day
Thanks, Amanda Baker and all who were praying for my last day with my young folks. I did indeed get to give them my testimony, then tell them Luke Dudley’s story and offer the tracts that Annette wrote in English and Spanish so they can learn more. The tracts are on my shelf as I go. It was best for me to make taking one voluntary, but they were very interested while I was talking. I told them I love them and will miss them and the sergeant spoke with them and for them to say the same back to me. Very sweet.
Our new LT brought a big tray of cookies for my last day. Her hubby is a Navy chaplain so she loves me! :-)
The food truck owner gave me a steak sandwich and fries free at lunchtime because I have given him business for six years.
Then, as I left, they stopped me and presented me with a plaque and a farewell speech with the squadron gathered round. That was a shock and made me cry. Contractors don’t get plaques. Well, another one of us did when she left earlier this week but I explained to our LT that that was neither usual nor expected. Little did I know they already had one being made for me.
So if I am now truly retired, that was a beautiful ending, but the best part was being able to present the gospel to these young folks. If any are in heaven due to Luke’s story, I will let you know later!!!

That is wonderful, Mary!!
