Karla Bauer
Some of you have been praying for my college friend Karla this year. She was such a mature Christian at 18 she became somewhat of a mentor. She won her friend Mark to the Lord as a freshman; by the time we graduated, he was very mature in the faith and proposed to her. They have seven adult children.
As a nurse, Karla was always healthy until last yearโs rectal cancer. After months of punishing chemo, the Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where she lives, is today going to remove what is left of the tumor and some lymph nodes that carry cancer. She will need to be lying down for the next week, then there will be weeks of recovery from a necessary surgery to save her life. We know all about that at Tab!
