Lungs were clear and the brain showed no signs of change since the previous stroke.
They did find clots in her jugular vein on the left side, left arm, and the one we already know about in the left leg. The risk of one of them moving is multiplied with multiple clots.
Blood thinning therapy will be started tonight with close monitoring for hemorrhaging in the brain by doing neuro checks every four hours. Once therapeutic levels are reached another CT scan will be done to check her brain. She will soon be converted to blood thinners by mouth and be on them for a few months.
While a major risk this allows her the best chance for full recovery without the threat of throwing a clot during PT. It’s always been in God’s hands, and although our hearts are heavy and anxious, that is where we leave it. Please pray!! Love to all💕
